About HMS Belfast
Step aboard the floating city of HMS Belfast, a fascinating ship with a history extending to the Arctic convoys, D-Day, the Cold War, Korea, and beyond. With nine decks rich in history, the vessel displays the experiences of the determined 950-member crew who served on her through hundreds of miles of fascinating locations.
The museum
The historic warship offers the chance to see the world through the lens of the sailors against the panoramic backdrop of London’s skyline. Facing the iconic Tower Bridge, the Quarter Deck introduces the three key periods of the ship’s 25 years of active service – the Second World War, the End of Empire, and the Cold War. From there, study the gunnery control systems of the Upper Decks, explore the depths of the Engine Rooms, and discover every part of life at sea from the galley to the radio station.
